Tropical Storm Dolly weakens into active tropical wave
Tropical Storm Dolly has weakened into an active tropical wave after losing its tropical storm characteristics, according to the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).
The system is currently located about 1,600 kilometers east of the Lesser Antilles and is moving rapidly westward at approximately 41 km/h.
Although some areas associated with the system are still producing maximum sustained winds of up to 65 km/h, these winds are expected to weaken further over the next several days.
Given Dolly’s current position and forecast path, Indomet is urging the public to stay informed and monitor official updates as the system continues to move across the Atlantic.
