Dominican Republic to headline FIT 2026 as guest country
The International Tourism Fair of Latin America (FIT) officially presented its 2026 edition, which will mark the event’s 30th consecutive year as one of the region’s leading tourism business gatherings. The fair will take place from September 26 to 29 at the La Rural exhibition center in Buenos Aires, with the Dominican Republic as the guest country.
Organizers described the anniversary edition as the largest in the fair’s history, bringing together tourism destinations, companies and industry professionals while strengthening connections between the public and private sectors.
Dominican Republic will have a prominent presence at the event, offering visitors opportunities to discover its tourism destinations and plan future trips.
FIT 2026 will also feature specialized areas focused on technology, gastronomy, cruises, outdoor tourism and travel trends, as well as business meetings for tourism professionals. The program will include the First International Sports Tourism Forum, organized in partnership with UN Tourism.
Among the new experiences are FIT Tech, dedicated to innovation in tourism; FIT Food & Market, focused on gastronomy; FIT Outdoor, highlighting nature and adventure; FIT Cruises; FIT Fashion & Travel; and FIT B2B and Business Rounds, designed to promote commercial opportunities within the industry.
During the public opening on September 26 and 27, visitors will be able to attend the fair from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with access to tourism offerings from destinations across Latin America and beyond.
