Dominican Conservatory partners with Cleveland Institute of Music

Cleveland.- The Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Culture, through the National Conservatory of Music, has established a cooperation agreement with the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM), one of the leading music education institutions in the United States.

The partnership aims to expand training opportunities for students and faculty, strengthen the Conservatory’s academic and artistic capabilities, and promote the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and musical practices between the two institutions.

The agreement was signed in Cleveland during a ceremony led by Culture Minister Roberto Ángel Salcedo, accompanied by Vice Minister of Creativity and Artistic Training Amaury Sánchez. The signing was followed by a commemorative concert.

The agreement provides for exchanges involving faculty, students, and academic programs, while also exploring opportunities for young Dominican musicians to pursue further studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

The Ministry of Culture said the agreement reinforces its commitment to strengthening arts education, expanding specialized musical training, and creating new pathways for the development of Dominican musical talent.
