Go Samaná guide highlights Dominican Republic’s tourism attractions

The Samaná Tourism Cluster (CTS) and the Association of Hotels and Tourism Companies of Samaná (Ahetsa) have launched the seventh edition of the Go Samaná tourist guide, highlighting the destination’s attractions, experiences and growing tourism offerings for local and international visitors.

The Go Samaná 2026-2027 guide features updated information on the northeastern Dominican destination, including its beaches, humpback whales, gastronomy, history and culture, nightlife, cruises and nautical tourism.

The 52-page bilingual publication also highlights attractions and tourism experiences across Santa Bárbara de Samaná, Las Terrenas, Sánchez, El Limón, Las Galeras and Arroyo Barril. It presents Samaná as a destination for nature tourism, weddings and film productions, while showcasing new tourism developments and diversification efforts.

A focus on sustainable tourism

CTS president Javier Lara said the publication reflects a joint effort by tourism stakeholders to promote the diversity and quality of Samaná’s tourism offering while encouraging sustainable management of its natural resources and supporting the well-being of local communities.

Ahetsa president Abelardo Melgen described the new edition as part of a coordinated strategy to strengthen Samaná’s position as a competitive destination and promote its geography, culture, residents and tourism potential.

The guide also includes a directory of hotels and excursions, a map of the region’s main natural resources, and information on educational opportunities for people considering living in Samaná.

Published in English and Spanish, the Go Samaná 2026-2027 guide will be distributed locally and at international tourism fairs where the Dominican Republic participates.
