Humano Seguros launches scholarship program for high-potential youth
Santo Domingo.- Humano Seguros has launched “Excelencia Humano,” a scholarship program aimed at supporting young people with academic excellence, leadership potential and a commitment to social development.
The program will initially provide 20 scholarships through partnerships with five leading Dominican universities: INTEC, UNAPEC, PUCMM, UNIBE and UNPHU, members of the National University Network for Development (RUNED).
More than financial support for university studies, the initiative will offer beneficiaries professional mentoring, internships, academic opportunities and participation in special projects, along with potential employment opportunities at Humano Seguros.
Humano Seguros President Eduardo Cruz said education is one of the most powerful investments for transforming society and emphasized the company’s commitment to creating opportunities that allow young people to develop their potential.
The program’s first stage will focus on fields linked to economic, technological and business development, including Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Telematics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Accounting and Finance.
Executive Vice President and General Manager Carlos Mitnik said the company wants to help students connect their academic knowledge with real-world professional challenges while also learning from their experiences.
“Excelencia Humano” is organized around four areas: STEAM and Sustainable Development, Health, Business, and Social Sciences, covering disciplines related to the country’s key development challenges and opportunities.
Diomares Musa, Vice President of Market, Product and Channel Development, said the initiative seeks to promote academic excellence and leadership while helping prepare professionals for a rapidly changing labor market.
