Vice President Raquel Peña celebrates her 60th birthday

Santo Domingo.- Dominican Vice President Raquel Peña celebrates her 60th birthday this Thursday, September 10. Born in 1966 in Santiago de los Caballeros, Peña holds a degree in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).

Peña has served as vice president since August 2020, becoming the third woman in Dominican history to hold the position. In 2024, she was re-elected alongside President Luis Abinader for a second term.

On her birthday, government officials, institutions and other public figures have congratulated Peña, recognizing her career in academia, business and public service.
