Abinader warns those behind SeNaSa 2.0 irregularities will face full force of law
Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader warned Friday that his administration will not tolerate irregularities or fraud in the Dominican Republic’s public health system and said those responsible for violations linked to the SeNaSa 2.0 investigation will face the full force of the law.
The president’s comments came as the Public Prosecutor’s Office carried out simultaneous raids in several parts of the country, reportedly resulting in the arrest of doctors and other health professionals allegedly linked to fraud networks involving the National Health Insurance (SeNaSa).
“Anyone who has committed an illegal act will be brought to justice and the full weight of the law will fall upon them,” Abinader said during a meeting with journalists at the General Gregorio Luperón Educational Center.
The president emphasized that his administration maintains a zero-tolerance approach to corruption and fraud in the public health sector and said investigations will continue regardless of the identities or positions of those involved.
Abinader added that anyone found responsible for wrongdoing will be prosecuted and called for the law to be applied to its fullest extent.
