Dominican 911 System explores technology cooperation with U.S.

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic’s National Emergency and Security System 911 participated in a technology and innovation meeting hosted by U.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic Leah F. Campos, focused on exchanging knowledge and exploring new opportunities for cooperation between both countries.

The 911 delegation was led by Executive Director Pilot Colonel Randolfo Rijo Gómez, accompanied by Deputy Executive Director Pilot Colonel Harold Jiménez Polanco and Technology Director Martín Santana.

The meeting brought together Ambassador Campos, Alex Thurn, director of INL Santo Domingo, participants in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), and representatives from the public, academic and private sectors.

Participants discussed how technology and innovation can create new opportunities for collaboration while strengthening connections among institutions and leaders in both countries.

For the 911 System, the meeting forms part of its efforts to strengthen its technological capabilities through international cooperation. The institution highlighted its ongoing collaboration with the U.S. Embassy to exchange knowledge and explore technologies and solutions that could contribute to modernizing emergency response services.
