Dominican Foreign Minister coordinates UN General Assembly agenda

New York.- Foreign Minister Víctor “Ito” Bisonó led a working meeting Sunday at the headquarters of the Dominican Republic’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York to coordinate the country’s participation in the High-Level Week of the 81st UN General Assembly, scheduled for September 22–28.

The meeting brought together Vice Ministers Vilma Arbaje de Contreras and Rubén Silié, Permanent Representative Wellington Bencosme, members of the mission and Foreign Ministry advisers.

Bisonó reviewed the Dominican Republic’s positions for upcoming multilateral events, bilateral meetings and other high-level engagements, with the goal of ensuring they align with the foreign policy established by President Luis Abinader.

The meeting marked Bisonó’s first visit to the Dominican diplomatic mission since becoming foreign minister. He was welcomed with an official honor guard led by Ambassador Bencosme and later toured the facilities and met with mission staff.
