45 Dominican business leaders to attend Dominican Week 2026 in the U.S.

Forty-five Dominican business executives will travel to Washington, D.C., and New York from September 28 to October 1 for Dominican Week 2026, an initiative organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AmchamDR) to strengthen trade and investment ties with the United States.

The four-day program will bring together Dominican business and government leaders with U.S. companies, government agencies, financial institutions and trade organizations to explore opportunities in nearshoring, resilient supply chains, advanced manufacturing, energy, critical minerals, aviation, artificial intelligence and investment.

The Dominican delegation will include several senior officials, among them Minister of the Presidency José Ignacio Paliza, Foreign Minister Víctor Bisonó, Industry and Commerce Minister Eduardo Sanz Lovatón, Energy and Mines Minister Joel Santos, and IDAC Director Igor Rodríguez.

In Washington, the agenda will focus on trade, investment, energy and regional resilience, along with specialized discussions on AI adoption by small businesses, critical minerals, advanced manufacturing, aviation and trade facilitation.

In New York, the delegation will meet with institutions including Visa, JPMorgan and the New York City Bar Association to discuss financial services, infrastructure, capital markets and investment.

The program will also include an Americas Connect event at Google and meetings with U.S. government agencies and business organizations.

AmchamDR President Francesca Rainieri said Dominican Week provides a platform for Dominican companies to engage directly with U.S. businesses and decision-makers and explore partnerships that can strengthen bilateral trade.
