Cap Cana brings together sport and luxury at Imperial Polo Cup

Cap Cana.- An afternoon of polo, champagne and social gatherings marked the close of the summer season in Cap Cana with the celebration of the Imperial Polo Cup, combining equestrian sport with gastronomy, hospitality and a lifestyle experience.

The polo field brought together players, guests and fans of the sport, who followed the competition while enjoying the destination’s hospitality and the relaxed atmosphere surrounding the event.

One of the afternoon’s highlights was a Perrier-Jouët champagne sabrage performed by The St. Regis Cap Cana. The traditional bottle-opening technique added a distinctive touch to the celebration and complemented the festive setting.

On the field, The St. Regis and Barceló Imperial played a closely contested match, with the score remaining level through the final moments before ending in an 8-8 draw.

The St. Regis team featured Pedro Castillo (Jr.), José Cedano, Roberto García Bisonó (C) and José Calazans, while Barceló Imperial was represented by Robbie García (C), Ricardo Tirado, Mauricio Bogaert and Rafa García.

Guests followed the match while enjoying the spectacle of the horses and the players’ skill, along with the social atmosphere characteristic of polo events, marked by champagne, conversations and gatherings among friends.
