FESTUR 2026 set to promote tourism and business opportunities in Sánchez Ramírez

Santo Domingo.- The fourth edition of FESTUR Sánchez Ramírez 2026 will take place from November 5 to 9 at the Hatillo Dam, bringing together tourism, culture, gastronomy, and business opportunities in an effort to promote the province as a leading destination.

The Sánchez Ramírez Ecotourism Development Council presented the event at the Senate Auditorium, with Senator Ricardo de los Santos in attendance. The senator invited the public to participate and highlighted FESTUR’s contribution to promoting the province’s tourism potential.

Under the theme “Living Territory, Our Land, More Than a Destination,” the festival will showcase the region’s natural, cultural, and gastronomic attractions while providing spaces for local businesses and entrepreneurs to promote their products and services.

The five-day program will feature tourist routes, horseback riding activities, a 6K race, sporting events, an ecological fishing tournament, a food fair, arts and crafts exhibitions, and cultural and artistic performances.

Organizers also plan to introduce permanent infrastructure that can be used throughout the year, including the renovated Cultural Train.

The United States will be the guest country, while Hermanas Mirabal will be the guest province. The event will also feature commercial spaces, a Podcast Center, a main stage, and an exhibition connected to Guinness World Records.

According to organizers, previous editions attracted between 30,000 and 40,000 visitors over three days, making FESTUR a platform for tourism promotion, business networking, and local economic development.

With this fourth edition, FESTUR aims to strengthen Sánchez Ramírez’s position as a tourist destination while creating new opportunities for local businesses, entrepreneurs, communities, and other productive sectors.
