China expresses commitment to supporting Dominican Republic’s development
China has expressed its willingness to continue supporting the economic and social development of the Dominican Republic, according to Qiu Xiaoqi, China’s representative for Latin American affairs.
Speaking in Beijing, Qiu said bilateral relations have experienced rapid and comprehensive growth since the two countries established diplomatic ties, strengthening political trust and generating benefits for both nations.
He said China is interested in working with Dominican authorities to expand cooperation across different areas and further strengthen bilateral relations.
Qiu made the remarks during a meeting in Beijing titled “Jointly Promoting Global Governance and Building a Shared Future for China, Latin America and the Caribbean,” held as part of an international program for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking opinion leaders on social media.
