Paris, France.- Dominican Week in France 2026 officially began Monday in Paris, bringing together diplomatic, economic and cultural activities aimed at strengthening ties between the Dominican Republic and France.

Culture Minister Roberto Ángel Salcedo participated in the opening ceremony at the Dominican Embassy in Paris, alongside Ambassador David Puig, French Minister Delegate for Industry Sébastien Martin, and representatives from the diplomatic, business, institutional and cultural sectors.

Organized by the embassy in collaboration with the Franco-Dominican Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event runs from October 19 to 22 and includes activities focused on political dialogue, trade, investment, culture and international cooperation.

The cultural program features the exhibition “Improbable Archipelago. The Dominican Worlds of José Castillo” at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine, as well as the launch of the “Dominican Republic × Cité internationale des arts” residency program to promote international opportunities for Dominican artists.

Dominican gastronomy is also being showcased, with chef Dayanny de la Cruz presenting a menu that combines Dominican and French influences.

The agenda includes meetings with the OECD, Business France, the French National Assembly and Senate, as well as discussions on trade, investment, innovation and energy transition. Dominican companies are also participating in SIAL Paris, promoting the country’s exportable products and seeking new commercial opportunities.
