Inapa activates emergency protocol amid weather conditions
Santo Domingo.- The National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (Inapa) activated its Emergency Committee to monitor incidents caused by a trough affecting several parts of the Dominican Republic.
Inapa Executive Director Wellington Arnaud said the agency is taking preventive measures to protect drinking water and sanitation infrastructure, ensure staff safety, and temporarily suspend operations at some systems experiencing high turbidity levels.
Arnaud urged residents to follow updates from the Emergency Operations Center (COE) and use drinking water responsibly as weather conditions continue.
The emergency team will remain on alert to respond to incidents and provide timely assistance to affected communities, following directives from President Luis Abinader.
