Raquel Peña inaugurates Dominican Republic’s first National STEM Fair
Santo Domingo.- Dominican Vice President Raquel Peña inaugurated the country’s first National STEM Fair on Monday, an initiative designed to connect young people with training, scholarships and employment opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Organized by Congressman Vicente Sánchez Henríquez, the event brings together students, technology companies and international speakers through conferences, training sessions, certifications and networking activities.
Peña said the initiative supports the Dominican Republic’s digital transformation strategy and seeks to prepare young people for the evolving demands of the labor market.
The fair also offers internship opportunities, connections with technology companies and scholarships for outstanding students, helping bridge the gap between academic education and employment.
