Lottery bank operators have until November 15 to submit voluntary declaration

Santo Domingo.- Owners and operators of lottery banks who did not participate in the Regularization Plan have until November 15 to submit a voluntary declaration to the General Directorate of Gambling (DGJA), under an extraordinary 30-day period established by Resolution 02-2026.

The DGJA clarified that submitting the declaration does not automatically legalize or authorize operations. It warned that establishments operating irregularly may face closure and penalties under current law.

The agency also reiterated that opening new lottery outlets, agencies, or points of sale, as well as installing lottery machines at unauthorized locations, remains prohibited. Information collected during the regularization process was shared with the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) for tax purposes.

To address pending cases, the DGJA established a Technical Analysis and Conciliation Committee to review individual applications. Fenabanca and other industry organizations will participate in a separate commission to organize and examine outstanding information.

Declarations may be submitted in person at the DGJA offices in the Centro de los Héroes or through the National Lottery’s website.
