Abinader visits the Punta Bergantín project, key to boosting the North Coast
President Luis Abinader will carry out a series of activities this Friday in Puerto Plata, with a focus on visiting the Punta Bergantín Tourist Project.
The president’s agenda will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a visit to the Punta Bergantín Tourism Project, an initiative linked to the tourism development of Puerto Plata and the projection of the province as one of the main destinations in the country, with an impact on the revitalization of tourism activity, the generation of opportunities, and the strengthening of the province’s service offerings.
Later, he will travel to the municipality of Sosúa, where he will inaugurate the Professor Miguel Ángel Rivera Silverio Educational Center, a project that will help expand and strengthen the area’s educational infrastructure. During this visit, two new classrooms will also be inaugurated at the Air Force Base, and the Juan Lockward Elementary School will undergo renovations, actions aimed at improving the spaces dedicated to student learning.
Later, the head of state will preside over the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Gregorio Luperón High School, a new facility designed to expand educational opportunities for students in the area. He will then inaugurate the bridge over the Camú River, a project that will improve road connectivity, and officially launch the paving project for the Bayardo and Barrio Nuevo sectors in the western part of the city, as part of the efforts to improve road conditions and mobility for the communities.
Next, the president will inaugurate the Anbar Childcare Center in the El Avispero sector, and later he will do the same for the Olivia Capellá Primary School in the Los Olivos sector. Simultaneously, three preschool classrooms will be inaugurated at the Arzeno Brugal Educational Center, three at the Alejandro Pina School, and two at the Silvano Reynoso School in La Isabela.
The governor’s agenda for this Friday will conclude with the inauguration of the Jaime Manuel Camps Power Recycling, SRL Waste Recovery and Sanitary Landfill Plant, a project focused on the management and utilization of solid waste, which contributes to initiatives aimed at strengthening the province’s services and environmental conditions.
