Probe shows La Romana mayor embezzled RD$200.0: Prosecutor

Santo Domingo.- Justice Ministry Anticorruption prosecutor Laura Guerrero on Sunday said the investigation into suspended La Romana mayor Juan Antonio (Tony) Adames revealed that he embezzled around RD$30.0 million thus far.

Still, the official he noted that preliminary figures show that the suspended Mayor has allegedly squandered as much as RD$200.0 million.

Guerrero added that the investigation also shows that other people are involved in the alleged corruption case.
