Arajet and Boeing strengthen alliance to train new Dominican pilots

Dominican airline Arajet has graduated and hired four new first officers and 18 cabin crew members as the carrier expands its workforce and invests in the development of local aviation talent.

The new hires are part of Arajet’s efforts to strengthen the Dominican Republic’s aeronautical industry by providing training and career opportunities for Dominicans seeking to enter the aviation sector.

Arajet’s pilot cadet program

Through its Cadets program, Arajet has partnered with U.S. aircraft manufacturer Boeing to train new pilots and first officers.

The selected cadets receive full scholarships valued at more than US$300,000. After successfully completing their training, participants have a guaranteed job with Arajet, providing a direct pathway into professional aviation.

Four new first officers have now joined the airline: Adrián De Jesús Troncoso Sosa, Anibal José Báez Alcántara, Emmanuel Neftaly López Peña and Emerson Ernesto Nang Cruz.

Arajet founding CEO Víctor Pacheco Méndez said the airline’s growth is creating new opportunities for Dominicans while helping develop the country’s aviation workforce. The carrier has focused on training local professionals in technical, operational, administrative and passenger-service roles since beginning operations.

Arajet said its continued investment in human capital is intended to support the airline’s expansion while contributing to the development of a stronger Dominican aviation ecosystem.
