Arajet and Miami Marlins celebrate Dominican Heritage Day in Miami

Dominican airline Arajet joined the Miami Marlins and the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism to celebrate Dominican Heritage Day at LoanDepot Park, highlighting the culture, traditions and national pride of the Dominican community in South Florida.

The celebration took place during the Marlins’ game against the Washington Nationals and featured Dominican music, dancing, food, cultural entertainment and activities for fans.

Arajet and the Ministry of Tourism sponsored several experiences throughout the stadium, including interactive activities, fan engagements and opportunities to win trips to the Dominican Republic.

Dominican culture takes center stage at LoanDepot Park

The festivities began at West Plaza with live music and Dominican dancers welcoming fans before the game. The celebration continued with a Dominican Heritage Parade on the field, along with food, family activities and other cultural experiences.

The event concluded after the game with a special performance by Dominican merengue star Toño Rosario, bringing the celebration of Dominican identity to a close.

Manuel Luna, Arajet’s chief communications officer, said the airline’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening ties with the Dominican diaspora in South Florida. He noted that Miami is Arajet’s second-largest U.S. route by passenger volume, underscoring the strong connection between the region and the Dominican Republic.
