Arajet concludes Miami Marlins campaign to promote Dominican tourism in the U.S.

Arajet and the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) concluded a promotional campaign in the United States that used Major League Baseball and the Miami Marlins to showcase the Dominican Republic as a tourism destination.

The final activation took place during the Miami Marlins vs. Los Angeles Dodgers game at LoanDepot Park, closing a series of activities developed throughout the season to reach U.S. travelers, members of the Dominican diaspora and tourism industry stakeholders.

The strategy brought together tourism, air connectivity and baseball, three elements closely linked to the relationship between the Dominican Republic and the United States.

During the campaign, Arajet and MITUR highlighted the country’s tourist attractions, culture and gastronomy, while promoting air connectivity between the two countries. The initiative also included meetings with tour operators, travel agents, media outlets, content creators and other tourism professionals.

Miami represents a strategic market for Arajet and Dominican tourism. The city has become the airline’s second-busiest U.S. route by passenger volume, strengthening South Florida’s role as a gateway between the Dominican Republic, its diaspora and the broader U.S. travel market.

The partnership also incorporated the baseball connection between both countries, including an event featuring Dominican Baseball Hall of Famer Juan Marichal.

According to Arajet, the campaign forms part of its U.S. expansion strategy and seeks to leverage high-visibility platforms with strong cultural connections to turn exposure of the Dominican destination into travel demand.
