Barceló Bávaro Culinary Week 2026 to feature 10 renowned chefs in Punta Cana

Punta Cana.- The Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort will host the 11th edition of Culinary Week from October 18 to 25, bringing together 10 renowned Dominican and international chefs for a week dedicated to gastronomy.

The event will feature themed dinners and culinary experiences highlighting Italian, Spanish, Mexican, French, international, meat and Caribbean cuisine, welcoming both resort guests and the local public.

Among this year’s new offerings are a dessert tasting at the Coffee, Rum and Cigar Lounge Bar, presented in collaboration with Levapan, Puratos and Chocolate World, along with rum tastings by Ron Barceló.

Chefs Luigi Puello, Food and Beverage director at Casa de España, and Ramsés Núñez, a private and corporate chef specializing in personalized gastronomic experiences, will participate in Culinary Week for the first time.

The lineup will also include Alejandro Abreu, president of the Dominican Association of Chefs; Liberato De Simone of Dolce Italia; José Lombardero of Espacio Sukaldeko; and Cristóbal Marto, corporate chef for La Cassina and Casa Luca.

The resort’s culinary team will be represented by chefs Hilario Martínez, Benjamín Rodríguez, Ondry Reyes and Wilson Perdono, from Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort, Occidental Caribe and Occidental Punta Cana.

Culinary Week 2026 will officially open on Sunday, October 18, with a cocktail reception attended by figures from the Dominican gastronomic and tourism sectors.

The event is open to both hotel guests and local food enthusiasts. The resort will offer special accommodation packages combining fine dining and leisure, while Premium Level guests will have exclusive access to the Culinary Week program.
