Cap Cana residents can now renew ID cards on-site

Cap Cana.- The Central Electoral Board (JCE) launched a special operation in Cap Cana to renew national identity and voter registration cards, bringing the service closer to residents, property owners, employees, and others who live or work in the area.

The initiative allows citizens to complete the entire renewal process at the same location, including data collection, photographs, fingerprints, personalization, and delivery of the new ID card.

JCE Identification Director Américo Rodríguez said the operation is especially beneficial for people who live or work far from their communities of origin. The temporary facilities in Cap Cana are equipped with the necessary technology, as well as air conditioning and parking, making the process more convenient.

Cap Cana Executive President Jorge Subero Medina welcomed the initiative as an example of public-private collaboration and highlighted the importance of bringing essential government services closer to the growing community.

The operation is part of efforts by the JCE and Cap Cana to strengthen institutional cooperation and improve access to public services for the residents, workers, and visitors of the destination in La Altagracia province.
