Cathay Pacific launches Hong Kong–Santo Domingo connection via Madrid

Cathay Pacific has expanded its presence in Latin America by adding Santo Domingo to its global network through a new codeshare agreement with Iberia, allowing passengers to travel between Hong Kong and the Dominican Republic via Madrid.

The move marks the first time the Dominican Republic and Argentina have been included in Cathay Pacific’s route network, strengthening connectivity between Hong Kong and Latin America.

To support the expansion, Cathay Pacific will increase its Hong Kong–Madrid service from four weekly flights to daily operations beginning October 25, 2026, with three additional flights scheduled on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The airline also announced new codeshare connections to Fortaleza and Recife in Brazil through Madrid.

Cathay Pacific currently offers codeshare services to destinations across Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Chile, and the addition of Santo Domingo further expands travel options between Asia and the Caribbean.
