CTC and CEMED certify 42 members in technology for emergency response
The Community Technology Centers (CTC), in coordination with the Specialized Emergency and Disaster Mitigation Corps (CEMED) of the Ministry of Defense, certified 42 members from different institutions who completed the second edition of the Comprehensive Course on Technology Applied to Emergencies and Disasters.
The training was held at CEMED facilities and focused on strengthening the technological skills of personnel involved in emergency prevention, preparedness and response.
The program included modules on cybersecurity, drone maintenance and repair, strategic communication, and artificial intelligence.
During the graduation ceremony, Social Policy Cabinet General Coordinator Geanilda Vásquez highlighted the participants’ commitment to public service and continuous learning. CTC Director Isidro Torres congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two institutions to expand technological training for personnel responsible for security and emergency response.
The ceremony was held alongside courses on structural and forest fires, highlighting the role of inter-institutional cooperation, technological innovation and continuous training in strengthening the country’s preparedness and response capabilities during emergencies and disasters.
