Dominican Republic and Visa use data intelligence to enhance tourism promotion

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) and Visa highlighted the progress of their strategic alliance to strengthen the country’s international tourism promotion through technology, data intelligence and a deeper understanding of traveler behavior.

Tourism Minister David Collado said the partnership has enabled the Dominican Republic to develop more precise and targeted marketing strategies by analyzing visitors’ profiles, interests, consumption patterns and preferences.

“The Dominican Republic has demonstrated that tourism growth must also be accompanied by innovation,” Collado said, noting that the alliance is helping the country better understand visitors and develop experiences that add value throughout their trips.

The collaboration also includes a co-branding platform that gives visitors access to benefits and special discounts on experiences, entertainment, dining and other activities across the destination.

The initiative aims not only to increase tourist arrivals but also to anticipate travelers’ needs and create more personalized experiences while supporting businesses, entrepreneurs and communities across the country.
