Dominican Republic restores consular services in Caracas

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) announced that the Consulate General of the Dominican Republic in Caracas, Venezuela, resumed operations on Thursday, October 1, restoring consular services for Dominican citizens and foreign nationals.

The consulate is now providing services including passport applications, travel documents, powers of attorney, travel authorizations, registration of Dominicans, marriage procedures, and assistance and protection for Dominican citizens. Fees for the services remain unchanged.

MIREX clarified that new applications can now be submitted directly in Caracas. However, procedures previously initiated at the Dominican consular office in Bogotá, Colombia, will continue to be handled there until completion. Documents processed in Colombia will not be transferred to Venezuela, and applicants with appointments already scheduled in Bogotá must attend them as planned.

The consulate, headed by Consul General Héctor Pastor Vásquez, is operating at its regular location in the Multicentro Empresarial del Este, Torre Libertador, Núcleo A, 17th floor, Office 174, Avenida Libertador, Chacao municipality.

Public service hours are 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For information and assistance, users can call (0212) 263-8256 or (0212) 264-5596, contact WhatsApp at +58 422-4101237, or email [email protected].
