Dominican Republic to host 8th International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress in 2027
Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic will host the 8th International Health and Wellness Tourism Congress on June 9–10, 2027, at the JW Marriott Santo Domingo, bringing together national and international leaders from the health, tourism, investment, finance, insurance, technology, innovation, and wellness sectors.
Organized by the Dominican Association of Health Tourism (ADTS) and AF Comunicación Estratégica, the event aims to strengthen public-private partnerships, attract investment, promote business opportunities, and accelerate the exchange of technology, knowledge, and best practices across Central America and the Caribbean.
ADTS President Dr. Alejandro Cambiaso and Vice President Amelia Reyes Mora said the congress has become a leading regional platform for high-level networking, knowledge sharing, and investment opportunities.
The 2027 program will address trends shaping the industry, including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, precision medicine, international accreditation, sustainability, patient experience, and new investment and collaboration models.
The event will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, strategic studies and initiatives, networking sessions, and business meetings. Participants are expected to include representatives from hospitals, clinics, hotels, insurers, financial institutions, investment funds, airlines, pharmaceutical companies, medical technology providers, universities, international organizations, and government agencies.
The organizers said health and wellness tourism offers an opportunity for countries in the region to improve quality standards, adopt new technologies, strengthen human talent and international accreditation, attract investment, and develop higher-value services for domestic and international patients.
