Dominican Republic wins Fuerza Comando Paraguay 2026 for the first time
Paraguay.- The Dominican Republic made history after winning first place in Fuerza Comando Paraguay 2026, one of the world’s most demanding international special operations military competitions.
The Dominican team outperformed elite units from 17 countries, demonstrating outstanding physical endurance, tactical skill, precision, leadership, coordination, and mental resilience throughout the multinational competition.
The achievement marks the first time the Dominican Armed Forces have claimed the top spot in Fuerza Comando, reinforcing the country’s growing reputation in international military training and special operations.
Defense Minister Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre (ERD) celebrated the victory, calling it a source of national pride and recognizing the dedication of the soldiers, instructors, and trainers who prepared the team for the competition.
He said the result reflects the Armed Forces’ continued investment in training, professionalization, modernization, and specialized equipment, strengthening the country’s operational capabilities to meet current security and defense challenges.
Fuerza Comando is a prestigious multinational competition that evaluates special forces through high-intensity tests of physical endurance, marksmanship, planning, speed, technical mastery, and decision-making under pressure, while promoting cooperation among participating nations.
With this historic victory, the Dominican Republic strengthens its international military prestige and confirms the high level of preparation of its special operations forces.
