Dominican Week in France set for October 17–22 to promote trade and investment

The Franco-Dominican Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFD), the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in France, and ProDominicana announced the official launch of Dominican Week in France (SD26), scheduled for October 17–22, 2026, in Paris.

The event will coincide with SIAL Paris 2026, one of the world’s leading food industry trade shows, held at Paris Nord Villepinte, providing Dominican companies with opportunities to showcase their products and connect with international buyers.

SD26 is designed as a platform to strengthen trade and investment relations between the Dominican Republic and France, while building on President Luis Abinader’s recent engagements with French President Emmanuel Macron. The program will bring together economic and trade diplomacy, political and parliamentary dialogue, and cultural initiatives.

The business agenda includes sector-focused events on the Dominican Republic’s role as a strategic Caribbean platform, renewable energy and investment, and emerging technologies, fintech and cybersecurity. The program will also feature B2B meetings, food-sector buyer and exporter activities at SIAL, and a ProDominicana pavilion at the fair.

The cultural program will feature the opening of “The Dominican Worlds of José Castillo” exhibition at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine, along with the launch of the Dominican Republic–Cité internationale des arts Artistic Residencies Program, with support from the Ministry of Culture.

SD26 is backed by several private-sector sponsors, including BHD, Banco Popular Dominicano, Sofratesa, Soletanche Bachy, SunMind and TotalEnergies, as well as French and Dominican institutional partners.
