Dominicans advised to stay hydrated as heat and rain persist
Santo Domingo.- A trough and moisture brought by southeasterly winds will continue to affect weather conditions across the Dominican Republic this Wednesday, producing scattered showers, isolated thunderstorms, and possible wind gusts in several provinces.
Morning showers are expected mainly along the Caribbean coast and in northeastern areas. Rainfall is forecast to become more intense during the afternoon and early evening, especially in the Cibao region, the Central Mountain Range, and parts of the northwest.
Temperatures will remain hot, with highs ranging from 31°C to 35°C (88°F to 95°F). Authorities recommend staying hydrated, wearing light clothing, and limiting prolonged exposure to the sun.
