Italian, Dominican governments agree to fight climate change jointly

Rome.- Foreign minister Miguel Vargas and Italian Environment Ministry official, Francesco La Camera on Fri. signed a cooperation agreement in the area of ​​environment , as part of the Dominican Government ‘s policies to work closely with allied countries in the fight against climate change.

According to a press release, Vargas signed the agreement within the official agenda in that country, after attending, together with president Danilo Medina, the 42nd Session of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (FIDA), which concluded today.

The agreement provides the basis for the Dominican Republic and Italy to work together on the problem of climate change.

“The challenge we have is to work in close cooperation and with external partners to leverage technical and financial resources of the regional and international order and thus reduce vulnerability to climate change,” Vargas said.
