Santo Domingo.- A group of 100 Dominicans will arrive in the country Tuesdayafternoon, deported from the United States, after serving time for drug trafficking, murder, forgery, fraud, rape, kidnapping and other felonies.

Reports out of Las Americas International Airport say the ex-convicts will arrive at 2pm aboard a plane chartered by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), escort by seven federal agents.

Of the 100 locals, 52 were convicted for drug trafficking and 48 for other crimes, according to local media reports, quoting sources at the airport, as well as the United States Embassy.
