Foreign Ministry announces passing of Ambassador Ricardo Polanco Reinoso

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the death of Ricardo Tomás Polanco Reinoso, who served as the Dominican Republic’s ambassador to Guatemala since January 2025.

According to the ministry, Ambassador Polanco Reinoso passed away on the evening of June 4 due to health complications. The institution expressed its condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and members of the diplomatic community, recognizing his service and commitment to representing the Dominican Republic abroad.

The funeral services for Ricardo Tomás Polanco Reinoso are being held today at Jardín Memorial Cemetery, located on Jacobo Majluta Avenue in Santo Domingo. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its solidarity with the ambassador’s loved ones during this difficult time.
