Frontier Airlines launches daily San Juan–Punta Cana route

Punta Cana.- Frontier Airlines is expanding its presence in the Caribbean and Latin America by adding eight new routes, including a daily service between San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Punta Cana, strengthening air connectivity to one of the Dominican Republic’s most popular tourist destinations.

The new route comes amid a broader reshaping of the U.S. ultra-low-cost airline market following Spirit Airlines’ reduction of service on several routes. By taking over key markets, Frontier aims to preserve affordable travel options while expanding its regional network.

The airline said the expansion is designed to maintain low-cost travel options in high-demand markets and support continued growth in leisure, business, and family travel. Frontier is also offering promotional fares on the new routes to encourage bookings.
