Fuel Prices in the Dominican Republic remain unchanged for the week of August 29

Santo Domingo. – For the week of August 29 to September 4, the Dominican government will maintain unchanged prices for premium and regular gasoline, regular and optimum diesel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and natural gas.

This measure is part of the ongoing Anti-Crisis Plan designed to protect national economic stability and shield the budgets of the most vulnerable households.

Government subsidies absorb global cost increases

Under this policy, LPG prices remain frozen at RD$135.20 per gallon. The government continues to absorb a significant portion of international market costs to prevent them from being transferred directly to consumers.

For this weekly period, the state has allocated RD$1,209.1 million in fuel subsidies to contain international price hikes. This financial support translates to savings of up to RD$95.65 per gallon for local drivers and industries.
