Fuel prices rise by RD$2 to RD$4

Premium gasoline will rise to RD$353.10 per gallon, while regular gasoline will cost RD$317.50

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM) has announced increases of between RD$2 and RD$4 in the prices of the main fuels for the week of September 25 to October 2. Other fuels will see price reductions, while liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and natural gas will remain unchanged.

The decision comes amid a highly volatile global energy market. The ongoing conflict in the Middle East and restrictions on navigation through the Strait of Hormuz have continued to push international oil prices higher, particularly those of refined petroleum products.

As a result, the Government will increase the price of premium gasoline by RD$3.00 per gallon, regular gasoline by RD$2.00, premium diesel by RD$4.00, and regular diesel by RD$3.00.
