Fuel prices rise by up to RD$9; premium gasoline to cost RD$350
The Dominican government has announced price increases of up to RD$9.00 for premium gasoline and “Optimum” diesel, while regular gasoline and regular diesel will rise by RD$5.00. Kerosene will increase by up to RD$29.30 per gallon.
The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and MSMEs (MICM) reported that the government allocated RD$1.9857 billion in subsidies this week to mitigate the impact of the crisis in international energy markets. The measure will keep LPG prices frozen while allowing for a partial and moderate adjustment in gasoline and diesel prices for the week of September 19–25.
