Grupo Piñero plans to continue investing in Dominican Republic

Spain.- President Luis Abinader met with Encarna Piñero, CEO of Grupo Piñero, who reaffirmed the company’s interest in strengthening its presence in the Dominican Republic. Piñero highlighted the country’s political and economic stability and its position as one of the Caribbean’s leading tourist destinations as favorable conditions for continued investment.

During the meeting, she emphasized Grupo Piñero’s more than 30 years of experience in the Dominican market, as well as recent investments and renovations at several of its hotels.

The company has incorporated sustainability criteria into the transformation of its properties, aligning its operations with the Dominican Republic’s environmental commitments.

Piñero also expressed the group’s interest in supporting initiatives to address the sargassum challenge as part of its commitment to sustainability and the development of the destinations where it operates.
