Homeless are removed “cemetery of the rich.”

Agents of the Municipal Police carried out an operation in the municipal cemetery, known as “the cemetery of the rich,” from where people who were vandalizing were evicted. According to the information, these individuals desecrated tombs and cemeteries, in addition to stealing objects, generating an environment of insecurity for the relatives who come to visit their deceased.

A note indicates that this intervention seeks to guarantee safety, respect, and tranquility.

For some time, sectors of San Pedro de Macorís had denounced this situation, but the municipal authorities did not act.
