Index partners with WLO to expand higher education opportunities for Dominicans abroad

Madrid.- The Institute of Dominicans Abroad (Index) has signed a cooperation agreement with the World Literacy Organization (WLO) to expand access to higher education and professional training for Dominicans living overseas.

The agreement, signed in Madrid by Index Executive Director Celinés Toribio and WLO Executive Director José Francisco Rojas Blasco, will provide members of the Dominican diaspora with preferential access to undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education programs designed to strengthen their academic qualifications and improve their competitiveness in international labor markets.

Under the partnership, participants will be eligible for discounts of up to 80% on tuition, a fixed monthly fee of US$75 during their studies, and a full waiver of enrollment and administrative fees. Programs will be available both in person and online.

The initiative also includes English language courses from beginner (A1) to advanced (C2) levels and skills certification programs aligned with international standards. Through WLO’s network of 16 universities worldwide, beneficiaries will have access to a broad range of internationally recognized academic opportunities.

Index said it will promote the available programs through its official website and social media channels, while interested applicants can register through the WLO platform using the institutional code provided to access the agreement’s benefits.
