Infotep to open new tourism and hospitality training center in Barahona
Barahona, DR.- The National Institute of Technical and Professional Training (Infotep) announced the inauguration of the Guarocuya Technical and Professional Training School in Barahona, an initiative aimed at strengthening specialized training for the tourism and hospitality sectors.
The inauguration will be led by President Luis Abinader this Saturday, August 22, at 3:00 p.m., at the renovated facilities of the former Hotel Guarocuya.
The new center will focus on preparing skilled workers in hotel management and tourism, responding to the growing demand for qualified personnel in the Enriquillo region.
Infotep said the initiative is particularly linked to the development of Cabo Rojo in Pedernales, which is expected to create new employment and entrepreneurship opportunities and increase demand for trained workers across the tourism value chain.
