Israeli Embassy in Dominican Republic commemorates third anniversary of October 7

Santo Domingo.- The Embassy of Israel in the Dominican Republic commemorated the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks with a ceremony honoring the victims and remembering those who were kidnapped.

Israeli Ambassador Oren Bar-El paid tribute to those killed during the attacks and emphasized the importance of preserving their memory while highlighting the challenges Israel continues to face in relation to terrorism.

As part of the ceremony, the embassy unveiled a sculpture of a Kalanit flower, a symbol associated with southern Israel, which was donated to the Israeli Center. The artwork honors those who lost their lives and represents a message of life, peace and hope.

The event brought together Dominican government officials, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Jewish community and other members of Dominican society.
