JAC promotes expanded air connectivity at Meet in Paradise Toronto 2026
The president of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Julio Peña Guzmán, joined Tourism Minister David Collado at the Meet in Paradise Toronto 2026 event, aimed at promoting the Dominican Republic in the Canadian market and strengthening ties with the country’s tourism industry.
Peña Guzmán highlighted the importance of air connectivity to tourism growth, saying expanded routes and travel options can bring Dominican destinations closer to more visitors.
He reaffirmed the JAC’s commitment to working with airlines, airports, and tourism stakeholders to develop new routes and expand air transport options.
The JAC president also recognized Collado’s efforts to promote Dominican tourism internationally, as well as the role of Canadian tour operators and travel agents in attracting visitors to the country.
Peña Guzmán said stronger air connections can also boost business activity, trade, investment, and job creation. He encouraged Canadian tourism representatives to strengthen partnerships and explore new opportunities to expand tourism ties between Canada and the Dominican Republic.
