Jarabacoa.- The 15th edition of the Jarabacoa Flower Festival is drawing thousands of visitors to the mountain town of Jarabacoa, reinforcing its reputation as one of the Dominican Republic’s premier cultural and ecotourism events. Running through June 7, the festival showcases the region’s natural beauty, local traditions, gastronomy, crafts and entrepreneurial talent.

This year’s celebration features flower and plant exhibitions, cultural performances, artisan displays and concerts by renowned Dominican artists, including Sergio Vargas, Fefita La Grande and Fernando Villalona. Organizers also crowned Amberly Morales Rodríguez and recognized ambassadors representing culture, the environment and equity.

A major highlight of the event is the participation of the renowned Medellín Flower Fair as the guest festival, strengthening cultural and tourism ties between Colombia and the Dominican Republic. Local officials say the festival continues to drive economic activity, support local businesses and promote Jarabacoa as a leading destination for nature tourism and outdoor recreation.

With its combination of flowers, culture, music and tourism, the Jarabacoa Flower Festival has become a key platform for showcasing the region’s identity and attracting visitors from across the country and abroad.
