Santo Domingo, DR — This week, the authorities of the Dominican Republic reported the arrest in Jamaica of Jhovanny De Jesús Metz Cruz, 28, who was a fugitive from justice, accused of stabbing the driver of the garbage truck, Deivy Carlos Abreu Quezada, causing his death.

According to reports from several media outlets in that Caribbean country, this young man was with another Dominican “hosted by a resident” of Annotto Bay, St. Mary, a coastal city located northeast of Jamaica.

The three men were arrested,” the media said.

Meanwhile, the authorities of the Dominican Republic are coordinating with their counterparts to repatriate this man, who committed the crime in Santiago on April 17.

According to information, Jhovanny De Jesús Metz Cruz would have left the country by sea, using a false name.
