Magnitude 4.2 earthquake strikes near Bayaguana early Sunday

Santo Domingo.- A magnitude 4.2 earthquake was recorded in the Dominican Republic early Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake occurred at approximately 6:06 a.m. Dominican Republic time and was located about 13 kilometers (8 miles) south-southwest of Bayaguana, in Monte Plata province.
