Moderate downpours are expected today.
The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) predicted moderate downpours, possible thunderstorms, and isolated gusts of wind for today in the provinces of the northwest, the Cibao valley, the Central Mountain Range, and the Atlantic coast.
The agency reported that the rains will be caused by an upper-level trough and warm east-to-southeast winds.
The Emergency Operations Center (COE) issued a green alert for Dajabón, Montecristi, Santiago Rodríguez, Valverde, and Puerto Plata.
