National Police confirm five people were injured in the shooting where Diddy Glow and Cotuí died
Santo Domingo — The National Police confirmed that two people died and five others were injured during the shooting that occurred last weekend in the Los Coquitos sector, Boca Chica, where the urban artist Jesús Alexis Delgado Ortiz, known as “Diddy Glow,” and Jonathan Villanueva, nicknamed “Cotuí,” died.
National Police spokesman Diego Pesqueira clarified that the figure of 14 injured people that has circulated in various media outlets and digital platforms does not correspond to the data handled by the institution.
“The incident that occurred last weekend in Los Coquitos de Boca Chica resulted in two deaths and five injuries. We are clarifying this because we have seen that various media outlets and digital platforms are misinforming the public, reporting that two people died and 14 were injured in the incident,” Pesqueira stated.
Pesqueira urged anyone else who may have been affected and has not yet been identified to contact the National Police to verify and update the official information.
People surrender and others are injured
In connection with the case, Oscar Alberto de los Santos, alias “La Rabia,” was the first to surrender. He appeared at noon before the National Police’s Central Directorate of Strategic Communications, accompanied by two journalists and his legal representative. De los Santos was wanted under arrest warrant No. 2026-AJ0079552.
An hour later, Frankelys Javier Capellán surrendered to the Ombudsman’s Office in the National District, accompanied by family members. Agents from the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DICRIM) met him there and subsequently transferred him to the National Police Headquarters.
Also surrendered was José Abraham Castro Arango, alias “El Tuerto”, 23 years old, who was wanted pursuant to arrest warrant No. RAJ-2026-15748, for the violent incident that occurred on Saturday, September 12, in the municipality of Boca Chica, Santo Domingo province.
During the shooting, Alexis José Castro, Manuel Alberto Perdomo, Javier Reyes, Albert Ozuna Beato, and Ismael Novoa Mejía were injured .
